Here is the question we get often: How do I delete my messages?
When you click on "my messages" - you see the list of contacts. When you "delete" those, you do not delete the message, but the "contact" (together with all the messages sent/received from this contact). So, even if this contact will send you a message in the future, it'll be in the deleted folder - since you have moved the whole contact into the deleted folder.
There is really no reason to move "contacts" into the deleted folder (unless you don't like them and wish to never message with them again).
The new messages that will arrive will be on the top of the list. So, you don't need to "clean up".
The system is done like this because this way the messages are "bunched" per contact.
Many of our members chat with many other members at the same time. When they open the "conversation" window they can see what they talked about with that particular member before.
To answer the question: There is no way to delete the messages. But you may delete whole contact together with all the messages and also “purge” it after to completely remove it. You may also “block” the contact – move it into the blocked folder. Use the “blocked” folder for all the spam. Our scripts check the “blocked” folder throughout the system and if found one member being “blocked” by many others – our system will automatically kick that member out. |
